Hi! I’m Hannah Priest. I’m the founder and owner of Events by Hannah. I’m from Louisville, KY and have lived here for all but 7 years of my life. I’m a dog mom to my sweet Polynesian village dog (yes, that’s her breed), Sissy, and we love to go on adventures together! I love my church family - Sojourn East - and I serve a lot in the kids’ ministry and women’s Bible study. I also love to cook, bake, and host friends in my home. I have become a more avid reader over the last couple years and enjoy a good, but not too scary, murder mystery or thriller!

I’m a former special education teacher; I spent about 6 years working with some of the most amazing students and staff! For the last 4 years, I’ve worked in accounting in my family’s accounting firm learning the ins and outs of bookkeeping and business management from my dad and by helping many small business owners. 

In early 2024, I went on a journey with a career coach to try to discover a career path that felt like a better fit. We talked a lot about things like my personality, my gifts, skills, passions, and what I actually like to do, and the overlap of all those things was found in event planning! During that process, I had already booked a couple small event planning jobs on the side, so I felt pretty confident that I could get some clients and maybe just maybe do my own thing. That's when the idea for Events by Hannah was born!

Overall, I have 6 years of professional and personal experience in planning, coordinating, and overseeing various types of events. I find great joy in collaborating with my clients to design and execute customized and beautiful events. I’d love to help with your next event!
